No matter what business you are in, leadership exists. But the crucial question is: Does your organization merely have a leadership philosophy - displayed on company walls - or is leadership practiced, evident in daily actions?
Several years ago, a friend and I wrote a mentoring manual called, A Purposeful Journey. Writing this manual was cathartic forcing us to examine our leadership styles. Mentoring goes beyond training or advising; it involves encouraging, guiding and inspiring someone to grow and reach their full potential - hence, a purposeful journey. I believe Servant Leadership is the same.
This philosophy, first defined by Robert Greenleaf in 1970, emphasized, “the best leaders are those who purposefully serve others first.” True servant leaders prioritize the well-being of those they serve. Greenleaf believed that not just people, but organizations could also embody servant leadership principles, fostering a culture built on care, ethical behavior and putting others first.
I am grateful to be a part of such an organization. There is a reason our ministry is called Servant Solutions. My hope is that I didn’t need to tell you this, rather you’ve already experienced it in your interactions with us. Servant leadership is not just what we do; it is who we strive to be.
Our primary focus is not just on financial matters, but also on the well-being of our members. We embrace a people-first approach. Our goal is to walk alongside our members throughout life’s journey, equipping them with the knowledge and resources to empower them to make sound financial decisions that support their retirement goals. But our commitment goes beyond finances – we are here to listen, to pray, and to support you through life’s challenges.
Ministry can be deeply rewarding and incredibly demanding. We recognize the struggles – discouragement, disappointment, and hardship – that come with serving others. Our prayer is that you don’t just work in ministry, but that you flourish in it! Did you know that our staff prays for you regularly? Our desire is to encourage and uplift you, so that you can continue serving for years to come. While ministry can be exhilarating, it can also be exhausting. We want to help ease your burden by assisting with your financial planning, ensuring that concerns about retirement do not weigh you down.

Her position especially focuses on growing our employers and members among colleges/universities and independent churches, along with engaging the top employers within the Church of God with their needs.
